DETROIT —  Michigan Central has named Continental as its exclusive catering partner for events hosted at the iconic Michigan Central Station. The private hospitality division of the Michigan-based food and beverage leader will provide catering and event services at the historic and reimagined Detroit landmark.

Continental’s private hospitality group is home to two of Michigan’s premier catering brands: Forte Belanger and Two Unique Catering. Together, the brands bring deep experience supporting events across venues and institutions throughout Michigan.

“Michigan Central is a dynamic, high‑profile environment, and selecting an exclusive catering partner requires a high degree of confidence,” said Charlie Millerwise, President, Dining & Hospitality, Continental. “This partnership reflects our ability to support events of every scale while maintaining consistency, care, and attention to detail. We look forward to bringing that capability to guests at Michigan Central and continuing to grow alongside this thriving community as it evolves.”

Since reopening in June 2024 following a six-year restoration led by Ford Motor Company, The Station has become a destination for innovation, convening, and community engagement, hosting corporate, civic, nonprofit, and cultural events throughout the year — many of which were already supported by Continental’s private hospitality brands.

“When people host an event at The Station, we want the hospitality to be just as memorable as the building itself,” said Mya Robinson, Head of Events and Visitor Engagement, Michigan Central. “Bringing Continental on board allows us to offer our clients a higher standard of service from start to finish. We’re thrilled to partner with a team that cares as much about the details as we do.”

As the exclusive catering partner, Continental will support a wide range of programming, from smaller gatherings to weddings and large‑scale celebrations. Forte Belanger brings award-winning culinary expertise and a reputation for executing prominent regional events, while Two Unique expands the partnership’s flexibility across formats and service needs.

“The demand to host events at The Station has been incredible since we opened our doors,” said Michael Kalt, Chief Commercial Officer, Michigan Central. “Partnering with Continental allows us to scale our operations and keep up with that momentum. It’s a step forward that drives our commercial growth and solidifies The Station as a premier venue.”

The partnership is specific to events hosted at The Station. Forte Belanger and Two Unique Catering will continue to serve weddings, fundraisers, social events, and corporate functions throughout Michigan, maintaining their longstanding regional presence.
