2026 Schedule

March 13
March featured The 313 Day Edition of Fridays at The Station — a four-hour immersive celebration of Detroit sound curated by Waajeed. Kamau Baaqi opened the evening with a live performance featuring soundscape shaped by the natural acoustics of The Station. Waajeed then guided the room through generations of Detroit music — house, hip hop, soul, and electronic innovation — weaving legacy and future into one evolving sonic journey.
April 10
Detroit’s new night out continued April 10 with Room 131, featuring Jon Dixon and Marquis Johnson, joined by special guest Marcus Elliot on sax for an evening of jazz, techno, and improvisation at Michigan Central.
May 8
Fridays at The Station returned May 8 with Marion Hayden and Straight Ahead, the Grammy-nominated group that emerged from Detroit’s jazz scene and broke ground as the first all-women band signed to Atlantic Records.
June 12
On June 12, Fridays at The Station launches its summer series with a fully curated live music experience featuring The At-Will Band with Al’ Exist, Rēdi Choi, DJ Stacye J, and DJ KRW. Built around live instrumentation, DJ-driven energy, and seamless transitions between artists, the evening celebrates Detroit’s legacy of musicianship, creativity, and collaboration inside one of the city’s most iconic spaces.
