Transforming the Future of Female Founders with a Strategic Alliance Anchored in Detroit’s Innovation Corridor

January 23, 2025 – Detroit, MI – In a powerful move to redefine female entrepreneurship globally, Femology is proud to announce a landmark partnership with Michigan Central, ushering in a new era of innovation, empowerment, and growth for female entrepreneurs. This collaboration seeks to break down barriers, expand access to vital resources, and champion the success of female founders across Detroit’s thriving ecosystem and beyond.

“This collaboration between Femology and Michigan Central is more than a partnership—it’s a bold step toward reshaping the future of entrepreneurship for women across the globe,” said Meagan Ward, Founder of Femology. “With less than 3% of women-led high-growth ventures receiving adequate capital, we are determined to change that narrative. Empowering Female Founders Through Innovation

With Femology’s new headquarters established at Michigan Central at Newlab, this collaboration directly addresses the unique challenges female entrepreneurs face. Through initiatives like the Female Founders School, Femology provides transformative resources, mentorship, and hands-on support to empower women-led ventures from ideation to scaling. This one-of-a-kind program also bridges critical gaps in support, funding, and community, empowering female founders as leaders in their own right.

“Together, Femology and Michigan Central will craft an entrepreneurial experience that is unparalleled in its reach and impact, offering female founders the tools they need to drive their ventures to new heights,” said Michigan Central COO and Head of Innovation, Carolina Pluszczynski. “At Michigan Central we are building one of the most inclusive and equitable tech hubs in the world, modeling Detroit’s innovation ecosystem as a framework for national change.”

Femology founder, Meagan Ward, serves as Community Builder in Residence at Michigan Central, working to grow the female founder community thanks to funding provided by the Michigan Strategic Fund as part of the overall public-private partnership between the State of Michigan, the City of Detroit, and Michigan Central.
