This season, a Detroit icon transforms for the second annual Winter at The Station. This year’s celebration builds on a rich legacy while beginning a new chapter as a place for community and the home of possibility. Enjoy the warm glow of festive decor and the inspiring sounds of local artists, explore hands-on activities, and discover curated local food, drinks, and gifts.

Location: The Station at Michigan Central, 2001 15th St, Detroit, MI 48216

General Access/Hours: Enjoy the festive decor Monday-Sunday 8am-5pm, free and open to the public

Special Programming/Events: Live music, special programs, and retail pop-ups available on select dates only. Tickets may be required; see full schedule below for details

Holiday Closures: The Station will be closed on the following dates –

Saturday, December 6, 2025 (retailers are open, Retail Arcade and The Study access only, Concourse and Grand Hall closed for a private event)

Winter at The Station is more than a holiday event; it’s Detroit’s new tradition to celebrate the season. Here, inside the walls of a restored landmark, we draw from traditions across cultures to honor the past, celebrate our vibrant present, and look toward a bright, innovative future.

Our programming celebrates the elements of the season that unite us: finding light as the days grow shorter, the joy of shared stories, and the hope that innovation brings. We invite you, your family, and your friends to make new memories and begin a new tradition.

The Station will remain open to the public during regular operating hours, Monday – Sunday 8am-5pm, outside of these special events.

Getting Here: The Station at Michigan Central is located at 2001 15th Street, Detroit, MI 48216.

Parking: Ample parking is available in the Bagley Mobility Hub parking garage for just $5 per vehicle. The garage is located at 1501 Wabash St, Detroit, MI 48216. ADA drop-off is available outside The Station’s east entrance on 15th street. The district is accessible via public transportation.

Admission: Winter at The Station is free and open for all to enjoy. No tickets are required for general admission.

Food & Beverage: Yellow Light Coffee and Donuts is open daily inside The Station. The Study Bar is open Friday-Sunday 12-4pm. During special event dates and times, a selection of seasonal food and beverages will also be available for purchase in The Station’s Concourse.

Family-Friendly: Absolutely. We’ve designed Winter at The Station to be an inclusive and welcoming experience for visitors of all ages.
