Winter at The Station is more than a holiday event; it’s Detroit’s new tradition to celebrate the season. Here, inside the walls of a restored landmark, we draw from traditions across cultures to honor the past, celebrate our vibrant present, and look toward a bright, innovative future.

Witness Detroit’s history come to life through the lens of the next generation of creators. In a unique collaboration between Michigan Central Art and the College for Creative Studies (CCS), Game Design students have developed an immersive Augmented Reality (AR) experience that bridges our past with the digital future.
Created in partnership with 4th Space.Tech, this app launches a 3D virtual train that circles The Station, with each car celebrating a distinct chapter of Detroit’s heritage. The experience is available now through December 28, 2025. Scan the QR code to download the app, then point your phone at The Station to watch the story of Detroit come to life in a whole new way.

Getting Here: The Station at Michigan Central is located at 2001 15th Street, Detroit, MI 48216.
Parking: Ample parking is available in the Bagley Mobility Hub parking garage for just $5 per vehicle. The garage is located at 1501 Wabash St, Detroit, MI 48216. ADA drop-off is available outside The Station’s east entrance on 15th street. The district is accessible via public transportation.
Admission: Winter at The Station is free and open for all to enjoy. No tickets are required for general admission.
Food & Beverage: Yellow Light Coffee and Donuts is open daily inside The Station. The Study Bar is open Friday-Sunday 12-4pm. During special event dates and times, a selection of seasonal food and beverages will also be available for purchase in The Station’s Concourse.
Family-Friendly: Absolutely. We’ve designed Winter at The Station to be an inclusive and welcoming experience for visitors of all ages.
