Following an extensive six-year renovation by Ford Motor Company, the once-abandoned train station has reopened its doors as the centerpiece of Michigan Central, a 30-acre technology and cultural hub in Detroit’s Corktown Neighborhood. While Ford’s investment is crucial to the company’s long-term planning, it also represents a commitment to the city of Detroit and its future, with The Station becoming a beacon of development and opportunity.

To celebrate the opening of The Station, Eminem, Diana Ross, Big Sean, and Jack White headlined a once-in-a-lifetime spectacular in the heart of Detroit following a ceremony honoring some of the city’s greatest cultural icons. The event was broadcast nationally on NBC in a one-hour primetime special. The show kicked off 10 more days of festivities to celebrate historic restoration of iconic landmark, including tours of The Station’s ground floor.
