Following an extensive six-year renovation by Ford Motor Company, the once-abandoned train station has reopened its doors as the centerpiece of Michigan Central, a 30-acre technology and cultural hub in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood.
While Ford’s investment is crucial to the company’s long-term planning, it also represents a commitment to the city of Detroit and its future, with The Station becoming a beacon of development and opportunity.
OPEN FUTURES
In partnership with the Children’s Foundation, Bill and Lisa Ford have established the Michigan Central Station Children’s Endowment with the goal of raising $10 million to support youth-serving organizations in the Detroit area.
