Aug. 6 – Sep. 21

During this event, guests were invited to explore an immersive, large-scale exhibition that reimagined home as a dynamic playscape. Created by acclaimed artist duo Tin & Ed, this installation provided an engaging experience for all ages.

Spanning the West Mezzanine of The Station, the premiere of Kaleidoscopic Home and Life Forces brought an immersive, large-scale exhibit to Michigan Central that explored the interconnections between nature, technology and imagination.

Exaggerated and custom-designed sculptures — representative of common household items — encouraged visitors of all ages to stretch, climb and lounge throughout the space; while augmented reality (AR) and interactive motion technology allowed you to become one with nature, offering a playful and poetic way to demonstrate how all life is intertwined.

Creators Tin Nguyen and Edward Cutting are internationally recognized for their ability to create immersive environments that represent the world beyond human perception.

Their work has been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the Getty Museum, Rockefeller Center, the Barbican Centre, and the ArtScience Museum, and is held in public collections including the National Gallery of Victoria. For more information, visit Tin&Ed
